EXCEEDINGLY, ABUDANTLY ABOVE

"God is able to (carry out His purpose) do superabundantly, far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think - infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams." Ephesians. 3:20

Think of the highest, the richest, the best, and the most. God is able to do above it all. Many have no problem believing that He is able. The question is, is He willing?

It is so important to know that HE IS WILLING. God desires more and better for you than you could ever dream.

There are no limitations with God. God knows no boundaries. What is impossible with man is always POSSIBLE with GOD!

In Luke 18:27- 30 Jesus replied, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.” Peter said to him, “We have left all we had to follow you!” “Truly I tell you,” Jesus said to them, “no one who has left home or wife or brothers or sisters or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this age, and in the age to come eternal life.”

Prior to Genesis Chapter 15, God had already made a promise to Abram, giving him and his descendants all the land he could see in all directions. Genesis 15 starts out by saying, "After this."  After the things that God had promised and shown to Abram, after all that, Abram still said to God, "You haven't given me what I wanted, how I wanted it, when I wanted it, or in the package I wanted it! So what can you do for me?”

But Abram said, "O Sovereign Lord, what can you give me..." ~ Genesis 15:2

Abram's statement seems pretty dangerous coming from one made from dirt spoken to the Creator of the universe and all that is in it! But isn't that what we all do? We tend to look at our circumstances, forgetting everything that God has done for us in the past years, months, weeks, and even days! We look only ahead, forgetting what God has done. Sometimes we even whine and complain. And when we do, God says to us, as He said to Abram, "Do not be afraid...I am your shield, your very great reward.” Genesis 15:1

Often we can’t see past our circumstances because we are looking at heaven from our earthly perspective.

We need to look at earth from a heavenly perspective. Think about it this way. Who has better vision - the one who is viewing the valley from the valley, or the one who is viewing the valley from the mountaintop? You can have the same vision, yet it’s your perspective that matters. You can see differently and further from the mountaintop. Far too often we look at the world through our human eyes. If we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us, we no longer have to look at the world that way.

We are seated in Heavenly places which means we should be seeing with heavenly perspective!

If we will but ask the Holy Spirit to help us see things through God’s eyes, from His perspective, I bet we’d complain less, pray more, love more, have more compassion, and be much more effective. That's exactly what God did with Abram. He took him outside of his limited perspective, and gave him the vast view from the top of the mountain.  "Then He brought him outside and said, 'Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.' And He said to him, 'So shall your descendants be,'" Genesis 15:5

Sometimes we have to be pulled "outside" - outside our circumstances, outside our field of vision, if we are to grab hold of the things that God wants to do in our lives.

Where in your life is God saying to you, "Do not be afraid; I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward; look now and see everything that I want to give you as a blessing"?

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever, amen. ~ Ephesians 3:20-21

Exceedingly and abundantly,
