LIVING IN PROCESS

Have you ever broken a bone in your body that needed to be set back in place, or in other words, realigned?  What would have happened if you’d resisted the process of the realignment that needed to take place to heal you up properly?  Most likely, you experienced an immense amount of pain and delayed healing.  This is what can potentially happen to us if we don’t align ourselves to God’s will and allow His process to take place in our lives.  Sometimes recognizing that you’re in the middle of an important, life-altering process and submitting fully to it can be tougher than we’d like to admit.

Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
— Philippians 1:6 NKJV

There is always a God process working on the inside of you.

God says in His word that He is ALWAYS faithful to this process. The question is not whether God is faithful but if WE will be faithful to the process! Process is mandatory.  You can’t escape it. If you want to reach the end of something you must first begin and take all the steps necessary to reach the end. You can’t start, skip the middle, and hope to finish well. If you take shortcuts and skip corners in your journey you will most likely end up very disappointed and unsatisfied with the outcome. In process, there is always meant to be a full completion.  How you start, how you walk, and how you end are all so very important.

God ordained process for your growth and development in order to release you to your fullest potential!

When a process is not allowed to complete its course it can leave devastating results.  Take for example human life development. Every process of human life development in the womb is miraculous! Each phase is absolutely vital for the health of the child.  If something goes wrong it affects the child for life.  Pre-mature birth, mental delay, and physical deformities can occur as a result of incomplete process.  This presents many challenges for the child as well as the parents. The worse case scenario would of course be abortion; when a child is not even given the opportunity to fulfill its God given destiny.

When we don’t allow God’s process to take full course in our lives, we potentially abort the very thing God intended to birth through us from the very beginning of time!

People who recognize the need for process, and willfully submit themselves to it, bear fruit of disciples living in true alignment. My challenge to you today is to recognize your current process (or season), and most importantly, to submit yourself to it.

You may find yourself discouraged.  If you do, it’s ok!  You’re not alone.  However, I challenge you to break free of discouragement.  You have the authority to do so!  Just look at this awesome scripture which I personally treasure:

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.
— Isaiah 61:3 NKJV

Another example to note is that of King David.  There were many times David encouraged himself in the Lord when no one was around to speak words of life or give him a big hug!

Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
— 1 Samuel 30:6 NKJV

Remember, you’re a miracle in the making! Enjoy the process.
